Description:

Course provides and in depth experience in black and white photography and in digital media. Students will be able to learn lighting and darkroom manipulations. Students can expect to operate manual cameras, operate darkroom equipment, toning baths, hand tinting, and solarization process.Student will learn about the history of traditional photography as well as artists who played a part in its development. Students will learn how the elements and principles of design apply to photography. Students will learn to manipulate digital images through the use of Adobe Photoshop.

Length: Year, 1 Credit

Prerequisite: Art Workshop 1-2

Grade Level: 10, 11, 12

Fee: $25 per semester
